Medill Elementary, the last of five brand new elementary schools opened thanks to the generosity of Lancaster voters
Welcome to the Lancaster City Schools blog! My job for the district is one that is unique to LCS; I manage the Lancaster Schools Network, and in doing so I am exposed to the best that our schools have to offer. I do most of my work producing content to go on the station and on the district’s YouTube page, but more than anything I’m looking for stories.
Every person who steps into our schools has a story, and it’s my job to find them and present them to you, our audience. The trouble with working in video is that you have to capture whatever you’re working on into a two-to-five-minute story, complete with beginning, middle and end. I have been working in video storytelling for 10+ years now, so I know the ins and outs of the medium, but more and more I find myself wanting to expand these stories and bring you into our world more and more.
The answer, I believe, is here: the blogosphere. I’ll show you sides of Lancaster City Schools that don’t come home in your children’s backpacks or even in my videos. You’ll get to know the people, places and policies that help make LCS truly the place to be!
Thanks for reading, subscribe and leave me your feedback!
